Special Events

Here's our 2012 season of fun things to do!  Weather permitting (not too wet, too dry, or too windy) - call or take a chance!  Enjoy one of ours or create one of your own.  Need an idea?  The Dam is 45 minutes away by kayak and serves as a great spot for a picnic.  You could also hang out here by the campfire and we will clean up your mess!  Put together your own group, birthday party, business meeting, girls' night out, kid's party, or wedding!  The possibilities are endless!  Just ask for picnic prices.

Monday Ice Cream Happy Hours

All day long, as long as the ice cream shop is open for the season, ice cream is only $1 a cone!

Mother's Day and Father's Day

On Mother's Day and Father's Day take a well-deserved break and go kayaking for free with your family, friends, or by yourself.  You can go for an hour or the whole day if you'd like!  And, the best part?  It's on us!

Town-wide Yard Sale - June 4th

Call us and ask to set up a space on the grounds of the Deli!

The Alton Town Fireworks are on July 3rd.

Ladies' Nite

Our very popular Wednesday Ladies' Nite has returned!  Throughout the summer, all ladies 21+ will gather for a River Run style Pic-a-noe.  Check-in is between 6-7pm at the Deli.  We will launch off the dock at 7pm.  Ladies' Nite is BYOB but we provide everything else!  Book ASAP as we can only take up to 30 bookings adn the ladies book in large numbers.  Prices are $20 for picnic and kayak rental.  If you bring your own boat or just want to have a good old-fashioned picnic, it's $15. 

Paddle Club

Paddle Club meets every Tuesday at 5:30pm starting June 21st.  Sponsored by the Alton Parks and Recreation Department, you can rent a boat at the River Run Deli for only $10 Tuesday evening!  Paddle Club is open to anyone.  All you have to do is show up with or without a boat. 

Campfire Fridays

Every Friday, weather permitting, we will start a campfire at 6pm for you to enjoy.  Ice cream will be served from the window at every campfire and on select nights we will offer hot dogs, chili or a baked bean special that evening.  Book yourself a little party and we will clean up the mess!

Canoe and Kayak Race - June 26th

Sponsored by the Alton Parks and Recreation Department.  Race up the scenic Merrymeeting River into Alton Bay.  Check-in is at 8:30am and the race begins at 10am.  If you want to participate in the race, but do not have a boat, have no fear.  We will be offering a special $10 per person kayak rental that day.

Alton Old Home Day - August 13th

Fall Brunch and Kayak - September 18th

Fall is a great time for touring the Merrymeeting River.  Check-in and eat between 10-11am for a River Run Pic-a-noe and go kayaking for the day.  Prices are $20 for a boat rental and picnic, $15 for the picnic only.  Rain date is September 25th.
